Lilac

The Lilacs are in full bloom in the back yard! Aren't they beautiful?

This is my absolute favorite plant that I have in my yard. I love the scent of the lilacs. I bought a lilac candle, it will do in a pinch but it is not much of a substitute for the real thing. Unfortunately, as everyone knows, the blooms only last for a short time in the spring.

Too bad the weatherman was right with his prediction of 90% chance of rain today--make that 100%--it rained! I wasn't able to spend much time outside enjoying them so Dennis trimmed some off to put in the house on the dining room table so I could enjoy them just the same.
