Logen and his Drama Class

On Tuesday, Logen had his EOC (end of course) exam for his advanced drama class. One of the areas of the exam is a skit performance in the auditorium in front of his teacher and peers--the teacher invited parents to come also. I was there with camera in hand, trying not to throw off his performance with the flash of the camera. Unfortunately the pictures turned out dark--but I felt it was still worthy of posting onto the blog! (Logen is in the middle in this picture)

Logen was a hit and a superstar! This is the second performance that Logen has done in drama, that we have been able to attend. Last year, in 7th grade, the class did a play that parents were invited to watch. I recall very vividly how funny Logen was and how he had the audience laughing. We had several parents come up to us when they realized we were Logen's parents and tell how funny they thought he was and a natural at acting. It was a great compliment!

This year was no exception. Even though it was a short skit instead of a play.....Logen did an awesome job. He did have funny lines to say but it is the delivery of those lines that make him a great performer. The premise of the skit was that Logen's character, Rick, was trying to prevent one boy from fighting with another boy, over a pass that the boy made to the others' girlfriend. It was silly and very funny!

Logen has really enjoyed his advanced drama class this year and is hoping that a drama class will be part of his schedule in the 9th grade also.
