On Tuesday the thermometer showed that the temperature got up to 76 degrees. Colin wore his shorts for the first time this year, got his pail and shovel and headed out to the flower beds. He had a blast playing in the dirt for quite a while!He even had to peel the sandals off his feet. The shorts he is wearing are a green camouflage material-- which you can't even tell from this picture....the color just looks like.......well......dirt!?!
I just thought if he really enjoyed being in the dirt digging around he could be a big help to all the gardeners in the family....what do you think Aunt Jo-Ann, do you need some help this season? I know he will be helping me! :)
Yes indeed! Always looking for help in the garden. However, this year I have Nina. I actually think I will have to keep her out of the garden. She loves to dig holes, which won't be good once the garden is planted. I think she will help me get rid of the voles. They always find the green bean patch and eat half of each bean they can reach. I plant so densely that I never see them--of course they may only come out at night. Aunt Jo-Ann
ReplyDeleteOhh I need to see a picture of your dog! I bet she is fun and keeping you on your toes while out in the garden. I have to admit that I had to look up what a vole is. Yuck--i would not be happy to run into that rodent! :) Nina may be a big help for sure!
