Bonnaroo through Tyler's lens........

The state of Tennessee must have the Bonnaroo Music Festival traffic down to a fine science. They have signs on the highway directing the 90,000 fans (new count) attending on where to drive to keep the traffic flowing. It still took Tyler four hours to drive the 75 miles to Manchester, Tennessee.
This tent is a mothers nightmare story. Apparently someone said they had a tent for Tyler to use, so he did not bring one. This is what was borrowed to him. I have to find some humor in this....somewhere. I think Tyler said it was from the Civil War days. :) As you can imagine he did not use this tent....he slept in the back of a Jeep instead...not much more comfortable but it kept him dry!

Can you believe the size of this crowd for one show?It rained a lot, as you can see from the MUD! I thought this was a funny picture because all the people were huddled onto the one dry dirt pile!
This is a very old Ferris Wheel. I could tell it was old just by looking at the pictures. Then Tyler told me it was from the Worlds Fair back in the day---I can't remember the year, but it is OLD. When I saw a picture of it, I wanted to warn Tyler to please not give his mother stress by going on it. Too late...he did!A great view from the Ferris Wheel.
This is Tyler (of course) and one of his friends that he was going to Bonnaroo with. Tyler met her in Florida and they have remained in contact and friends with each other.
The grand fountain at the center of Bannoroo.Tyler at the fountain....notice the stainless steel water bottle we bought him for the trip because its what Bonnaroo recommends. Funny story about the water bottle; Tyler was walking through the gates to go into the festival area and they have security people checking back packs, etc. They made Tyler dump out the water that he had filled in his water bottle. They make everyone carry it in empty and then fill it up at the water stations inside the festival. I thought that was strange but I guess it is just like going through an airport security checkpoint. The tired, weary feet after four days at the Bonnaroo Music Festival!
