Roaring Springs

Colin was wearing a hat until it got wet and he did not like it on anymore! ;o)

Today the temperature reached the high 90's so we decided to head to the water park, Roaring Springs. We bought a season pass for the water park last winter (weird time that they sell them) and had not had a chance to go yet this season. When we got to the water park we had to have our pictures taken for our pass. Colin gave the cutest smile. Logen had a great picture too. Fair to say I do not usually like my pictures anyway, and I did not like this one either.

I was very happy to see that Colin loved the water. He likes being in the pool at my house but these pools are so much bigger and with water spraying everywhere. Colin even enjoyed the wave pool. He did not mind the waves splashing him in the face and even ventured out into the water (not alone) until it was up to his shoulders. The sound of the waves seemed to bother him quite a bit at first. His hands instantly went up to his ears but he did get used to it. Logen was a good sport and took Colin on the kiddie slides several times...Thanks Logen!

With only a half and hour left before the park closed Dennis and Logen decided to go on some of the bigger water slides while Colin and I hung out at the kiddie pool. The park put in a new water slide this year, Thunder Falls, and they were anxious to try it out. Since they had never been on it before they did not realize that at the bottom of the slide the raft stops abruptly. When it stopped hard it caused the raft to flip over and Dennis' foot jammed Logen right in the hand. Unfortunately it also jammed his pointer finger and it is pretty swollen. He went to the first aid station at the water park and they gave him ice to put on it but it looks like it has gotten worse, not better, since it happened a few hours ago. I am going to call the doctor first thing in the morning...I am sure he will need an x-ray. I don't think it is totally broken or obviously I would have in the emergency room tonight but he may have a sprain or a small fracture.

To be continued..................
