This is a test....

Were the following pictures taken before or after our garage sale last weekend?

Unfortunately these were taken AFTER the sale. We did sell a lot of stuff at the sale, and I am very thankful! We were just overloaded with things that we held on to for way too long. So even though we did well at our sale and got rid of a lot of things, we still had plenty of leftovers. :) Mom said we had enough things left over that we could have another sale. No Way! We are done!

We will be making several donations with the leftovers. Most of the stuff will go to our local Goodwill. I am going to donate my books to the library and to the woman's section of the county jail. I have put a box of clothes together for Colin's little brother and the rest will be donated to the Department of Health and Welfare for the kids that come into foster care. I have seen, sadly enough, that a lot of the kids come to care with nothing. Sometimes with not even shoes on their feet. I know they are needed. Most of the clothes we have are in excellent condition. The kids seem to out grow them before they wear them out.

We found out on Friday that our neighbors were having a sale on Saturday also. They scheduled their sale to start at 7am. We were not going to start until 8am but they put the pressure on us to start as early as them since we did not want to miss any potential customers! There was one downfall to the neighbors having a sale also--I was spending too much time shopping at their sale! They have a little boy that is four, so I found quite a few things for Colin. I bought him some blocks and some "food" for his play kitchen. I also found quite a few clothes that he will be able to wear this fall. Our biggest score was this:

We have been looking for a jogging stroller for awhile. No, we are not joggers but we like to go for walks. It is too hard to have a good/fast walking pace while pulling a wagon or using a regular stroller. This "jogger" has the all-terrain wheels which will be awesome. It has been rainy the last few days so we haven't had a chance to use it too much but I am hoping to start walking in the mornings soon! Yahoo!
