Tumble Time

Colin has started a new physical therapy program. Instead of the therapist coming to our house we are taking Colin to a place called "Tumble Time". There is an awesome teacher by the name of Miss Etta and also a PT that helps and assists the children. There are about 8-10 kids in the class all under the age of three. Colin goes to class on Monday mornings for an hour. I am in the class with him and I help Colin when the therapist is helping other kids.

We have only started going to this class two weeks ago. The first week we went to class Colin did not like the balance beam at all. Our therapist had to hold him under his arms, he would not stand straight and I had to physically move his squatted legs along the balance beam. And this week this is what he looked like on the balance beam (remember this is only the 2nd time he has been to this class):

What a kid!

He still does not like doing any thing on the "bars" and did not like the somersault too much either, as you can tell by the expression on his face. :(

At the beginning of the class they have a short "circle time". Colin is still trying to learning to be patient through this time.

At the end of class the kids all lay on their tummy and do the "good-bye" song. After the "good-bye" song they get their hand and feet stamped and then it is time to go home. I am not sure if I have shared but being on his tummy is something that Colin does not like too much. His core muscles are weak so it is difficult for him. We try to do an activity on our tummy each day like read, color or play with cars, etc.

Colin is doing well with his therapies and he has also started to put two-one syllable words together to form a little sentence. He sure tries hard!
